Blue Blocks is a design studio which aims to build a healthy future for humans and planet. Their expertise relies on the combination of green technology and design with focus on the zero waste systems, by preventing it from the start or taking it out of the system. Their inspiration comes from natural food webs—where each living thing in an ecosystem is part of multiple food chains—applied to design systems. Their portfolio includes biomaterials such as microbial cellulose and seaweed.
SeaWood materials are made from brown seaweed fibres, after valuable proteins are extracted. These fiberboards can be used for architecture and interior design. The material is natural, compostable and chemical free, allowing not only the minimization of emissions but also the removal of existing CO2.
